The laboratory is dedicated to fiber-based QKD systems. We study both the theory behind QKD protocols and their experimental implementation. The full track includes:

1. The development of a particular protocol with its security proof and performance simulation.
2. Proof-of-principle experiments to see its performance with real-life devices.
3. Engineering study to locate possible side-channels and weak spots in the setup and provide countermeasures.
4. Work with the industry partner to commercialize the device and obtain all the necessary licenses.
