Quantum optics is the basis of experimental research in the quantum information field. The laboratory develops methods of preparing and measuring quantum states of light. In particular, methods of encoding quantum information in orbital angular momentum of single photons, methods of quantum state and process tomography utilizing machine learning techniques are studied.
