The twenty-ninth annual International Laser Physics Workshop (LPHYS'21)

The twenty-ninth annual International Laser Physics Workshop (LPHYS'21) was held in an exclusively virtual format on Zoom from July 19 to July 23, 2021 In 2020, due to the Covid-19 pandemic that paralyzed the entire world, the twenty-ninth Annual International Laser Physics Workshop could not be held in person in Lyon, France, and had to be postponed until 2021. This year the Workshop was carried out in an exclusively virtual format on Zoom. The LPHYS'21 Steering and Advisory&Program committees and the LPHYS'21 Management Team have worked hard to make this event possible. We kept the conference virtual Zoom format as closely as possible to the standard in-person format of the previous years, albeit without popular extravagant welcome parties, sumptuous gala dinners, and many other in-person activities and friendly gatherings. However, the cordial atmosphere that had always ruled at our annual meetings was kept on.
